The Location Strategy Group

In this era of shuffling and relocation within the Faculty of Science it is important for our department to form a coherent and sustainable strategy regarding our own optimal location, both for individual research groups also for the department as a whole.

Tasked with examining this further, the newly formed Location Strategy Group currently includes:

The group will focus on the cost (both expenses and work hours) and the environmental impact associated with proposed solutions, on sustainability and our need to be geographically close to other research institutions and on any effects associated with the faculty structure.  The group will also assess how the future plans of other departments and research institutions will affect our own department.

The Location Strategy Group is expected to present their final report to the department board in the spring of 2022.
