Physics of Nebulae

NAAS002, 7.5hp

This is a PhD level course in astrophysics.

The course deals with physical processes in low-density plasmas, and their consequences in astrophysical objects. The content includes how atomic structure and atomic interaction with electromagnetic radiation and electrons together determine the plasma conditions and, in turn, the emitted spectrum. The teaching consists of lectures, discussions and exercises.
